I grew up living
inside Tanglewood Park located beside the Yadkin River between
Clemmons and Bermuda Run, NC. At that time the park was owned
by the brother of major tobacco entrepreneur, R.J. Reynolds.
My dad was the park maintenance supervisor. After the park was
closed in the evening my brother and I had a huge playground
all to ourselves with lots of animals like deer, raccoons and
ducks. We rode horses, swam in the pool, played on the golf course,
and enjoyed our huge playground.
